On the 16th of October, history was made as The Glea Network launched the very first-of-its-kind automatic pad dispenser at the Oba Akinbiyi High School 1, Mokola, Ibadan.

The launch of the carebox was in commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child.

"My period is normal. My feelings are valid. I am proud of the lady I am becoming." The founder of the GLEA Network encouraged the young ladies of the school with words of affirmation to inspire them to see their period as a thing to be embraced.

The students of the school also performed a drama and dance, showcasing their talents as they described common occurrences around the topic of menstruation.

Later on, 5 of the girls were coached by different members of the organisations present including BetterHer on a range of topics. The girls enthusiastically presented their topics and were all awarded prizes.

The event rounded up with the demonstration on the use of the carebox and maintenance of the box. The administration of the school and honourables from the Ministry of Health and Education thanked the GLEA Network for their efforts and their dedication to the wellbeing of young girls.
